Wisconsin Meeting:
American Legion Greendale Post 416 | 6351 W. Grange Ave. | Greendale, WI 53129
Date: Wednesday, December 13, 2017December Wisconsin Speaker - Lynn Niklasch
Speaker: Lynn Niklasch - Your Fishin' Pal Guide Service
Topic: Fishing Green Bay Walleyes Throughout the Year

Lynn Niklasch is a multi-species angler based in Wisconsin with over a decade of full-time professional experience as a guide and diverse tournament fisherman. He is a United States Coast Guard Charter Captain and Wisconsin licensed guide specializing in walleye fishing, and is one of the few local ice-fishing guides.

Like Walleyes Unlimited Lynn's mission is to ‘Teach the Joy of Fishing’, equip others with techniques they can use on their own, and to pass along the knowledge that was shared with him as a child. He ensures that his clients are satisfied with their experience, that the trips are enjoyable for children and encourages adults to spend time with children in the outdoors.

Lynn has fished several team and pro-am tournament circuits for walleye and musky, including MWS, MWC, WWA, RCL, FLW League, FLW Tour, NWT, Iron Man Musky Tournament Trail, AIM and AIM Weekend Series. To date, he has won nine first-place finishes, 14 other top-five finishes and 23 other top- twenty finishes. Lynn earned the title 2004 RCL League Angler of the Year, 2005 WWA WI Team of the Year, 2005 WWA Regional Team of the Year, 2005 WWA National Team of the Year.

During 2007-2013 Lynn focused more on guiding than tournaments. In 2014 he placed in the top-five three times as well as double qualified for the AIM Warrior Boat Shootout by finishing 3rd in the WI state championship as well as 5th in points for the team of the year race.

In 2015, along with three of the first place finishes mentioned earlier, he earned the title of Wisconsin Team of the Year and National Champion in the AIM Weekend Series. Additionally, he qualified for the AIM National Championship which took place in June of 2016. Also in 2016, he fished seven tournaments, and cashed checks in five.

To promote his sponsors and business, Lynn has been featured in several TV segments of Outdoor Wisconsin, Midwest Outdoors and Travis Richardson’s Outdoor Fishing Guide Show. He has been featured in magazine articles by In Fisherman, Badger Sportsman and Midwest Outdoors, as well as newspaper articles by outdoor writers, including Dick Ellis, Paul Smith and others across the region including Steve Ryan and Ted Peck.

Lynn participates in boat and sports shows throughout the Midwest and is an experienced seminar speaker. He contributes information to walleye fishing instruction guides, composes information for various internet postings and contributes to the guide notes on topographical fishing maps. Lynn is active in several clubs including NPAA, Fellowship of Christian Angler’s Society (FOCAS), Fishers of Men and other youth and church groups, such as NPAA youth events, where he donates, volunteers and educates.

Illinois Meeting: Gurnee American Legion | 749 Milwaukee Ave. | Gurnee, IL 60031
Date: Wednesday, December 27, 2017
Speaker: NO FORMAL SPEAKER
Topic: ILLINOIS SWAP NIGHT

The last Walleyes Unlimited USA meeting of the year will be dedicated to information and fishing equipment/tackle sharing at our usual meeting place, the American Legion Hall in Gurnee. The meeting will begin at our regular time, 7:00 pm.

There is no formal agenda and no speaker. This will be another opportunity to share information and equipment/tackle with your fellow club members and a chance to prepare for the 2018 fishing season. So come join your fellow club members and participate in our last meeting of the year. What a good opportunity to get out of the house during the holiday season. We heard through the grapevine that Orawiec might clean out his garage and hire a semi to deliver the unused items!

The format for this meeting will include areas for members to set up information and fishing equipment/tackle sharing stations. In the past at these types of meetings, members have shared fishing locations and information on their favorite lakes including marking your maps, demonstrated rigging techniques, and swapped/sold fishing equipment and tackle.

Jerry Zegar is organizing this event, so if you want to demonstrate something, share information, or sell/swap equipment, please contact Jerry at 847-361-7543 or email him at jerryzegar@hotmail.com.
